Beautiful Baby Boudoire

I love the way this geometric pink nursery turned out and so does the little girl who lives here - as seen modelling on her extra chic daybed! I needed to work with two existing pieces of furniture in this room - being the dark wood cot and a mattress that the client wanted to keep in the room. I turned the mattress into a daybed filled with lots of cushions and tried to lighten up the space around the cot as much as possible with color and pattern. My favourite part of this room is the bold geometric wallpaper and the gorgeous dip dyed stool.

OH Baby!

The lovely Rochelle Gillespie Editor of OHbaby! Magazine New Zealand recently approached me to feature my 'In the Desert' room in the Autumn 2013 Magazine .... Yellow Submarine

 

So excited to reveal this modern space that I created for a 8 year old boy recently. The dark charcoal wall paint color that I chose really works well for tween age boys and instantly gives the space a more boyish rugged look. I also love the yellow submarine print I found which is a modern twist on a old classic. The mangowood signs above the desk are a great decorative accent and I love the way they look in the room. The large grey marle pin-boards will house all of my clients 1st ribbons, invitations and photos and is a practical yet eye pleasing solution to displaying all of those important things.

Cool Mint

I've just finished this cool mint and pink room for a 10 year old girl. I've always loved this color combination - it's pretty, fresh, girlie and soothing all rolled into one! The light grey color I chose for the walls really brings all the elements of the room together and gives the mint and pink colors a contemporary backdrop.

Herald Sun HOME lift out

Little Liberty was featured in the Herald Sun HOME lift out on the weekend ... Ruby, Millie and Archie's rooms were all photographed and each room had it's own page!

Pink Trellis

I've just completed this cute pink and grey baby nursery for a little baby girl named Charlie. The client had existing furniture from another child so I worked with the cot, change table, chair, side table, chandelier and chest of draws. I really wanted to brighten up the room with some wallpaper so I suggested this DIY (i.e me!) removable trellis wallpaper which transformed the room completely - its a much cheaper alternative than the real deal and has the same affect!

I adore Adore Magazine

So excited to be apart of the fabulously stylish Adore Magazine this week which is Australia's first online only home and lifestyle magazine. Adore is founded and created by talented designer Loni Parker who approached me to be apart of their 'Just for kids' feature. Loni is trying to raise funds to print an Adore Home Book later this year through pozible (a crowdfunding platform and community for creative projects and ideas). In the Desert

I absolutely love this room I just completed - it's straight out of the Sahara Desert! The camel, burnt orange and mustard tones are so earthy and natural and really give the room a soothing calm feel. The Oeuf furniture is so beautifully simple and contemporary and it's such a pleasure to accessorise! The safari inspired animals on the wall and on the shelves are so cute and really add some personality to the room. The hand carved 'L' on the wall is made out of gibbon wood and I really love the simplicity of it along with it's grainy texture. My other favourite piece would have to be the beautifully elegant mobile hanging over the cot. Lastly, my lovely photographer suggested that I put a photo of me in the room mid installation ... so here it is!
